Reflection Question

During the time science and law discourse communities had already been viewing as blacks being inferior to whites which made them agree to the film. The film also shows that the KKK where a group to follow or a good group and had no problem with them. Overall the film was a interpretation of how blacks were negatively portrayed by whites.

What Griffith wants a viewer to feel about the woman and her family

The iris and parallel editing are being used because they show what is really happening slowly which shows how a normal family during the situation.

What Griffith wants a viewer to feel about the characters Silas Lynch and Lydia

The four concepts of iris, decor, typage and costume leads the viewers to believe that biracial americans are finally being shown in a higher status than white americans.
